Junior Ian Holmberg earned two individual wins and was part of two relay runner-up finishes in the final two meets of the regular season for the Pioneers. Holmberg defeated a field of five swimmers in the 100 Backstroke in a Friday night home dual meet against Willamette. Holmberg won the event by 1.33 seconds and touched the wall with a final time of 59.63. He then competed with the 200 Medley Relay team that took second place and posted a time of 1:36.54. 

On Saturday at Linfield, Holmberg earned the fourth consecutive individual win for Lewis & Clark when he beat five swimmers in the 200 Backstroke. After the opening 100 yards in the event, Holberg was trailing by 0.61 seconds. He took the lead during the next 50 yards (+.08) and then won the race by 3.25 seconds, touching the wall in 2:11.73. Later, Holmberg joined three Pioneer teammates in the 400 Medley Relay to take second out of four teams with a time of 3:47.26.
