Sophomore Nia Pile threw the shot put 11.12M (36-05.75 feet) to record the second-best mark in indoor track program history on Saturday at the George Fox Indoor #1 Meet. Pile’s throw reset her own season and career PR. She placed third overall out of 23 competitors and second out of Division III entrants. Pile’s fifth attempt in the event earned her the third-place finish. She launched the shot put 10.67M, 10.88M, 10.67M, and 10.08M in attempts one through four. Her sixth attempt was 10.83M.
