Cloutier made four saves, including stopping a penalty shot, in Sunday’s Northwest Conference contest against Whitworth University. The junior, who was making his third start of the season, came through with one of the moments of the season for the Pioneers in the 74^th minute. After the referees conferred and gave Whitworth a penalty, Cloutier stopped reigning NWC Player of the Year Cole Friesen not once but twice to keep the score 1-0. He dove to his right to stop the penalty and then made a point-blank save on Whitworth’s all-time leading scorer.
