Junior thrower Nia Pile had an impressive showing at Saturday's Jenn Boyman Memorial Invite. Pile shined in the shot put, finishing second out of 34 athletes with a career-best throw of 12.00 meters (39 feet, 4.5 inches), despite missing the opportunity for three additional throws in the finals. With her standout performance, she became the first Pioneer women's thrower since 2014 to reach the 12-meter mark, climbing into fifth place in program history and sixth overall in the Northwest Conference this season. Her mark also ranks 73rd nationally in NCAA Division III. Pile also finished in the top-20 in the long jump with a leap of 4.85 M (15-11.00 feet) at the meet.
