Junior swimmer Ezra Billings capped a record-setting season by earning the Joe Huston Athlete of the Year award at the 2025 ELCYS in May. He became the first men's swimmer in program history to be named Northwest Conference Men's Swimmer of the Year after a dominant performance at the NWC Championships. Billings won individual titles in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly, and anchored the winning 400 freestyle relay team. He became the first men's swimmer to win an individual event at the NWC Championships since 2006 and the first to win four events since 1988. Billings posted program-record times in all three individual wins, including NCAA B cut times of 44.66 and 44.70 in the 100 freestyle. He also helped three Pioneers relay teams set program records. Billings earned four First Team and one Second Team All-NWC honors.
