Junior forward Mischa Vanek scored in back-to-back games to lead women’s soccer to a four-point weekend against the Whits. Vanek opened the scoring in Friday’s 1-1 tie with Whitman, netting her second goal of the season just 7:36 into the game on the team’s first shot. She followed that with a header goal off a Carli Driskill corner kick in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Whitworth, giving the Pioneers their first multi-goal lead of the season. Vanek leads the team with three goals, 12 shots, and six shots on target through nine starts.
