Senior center back Alexa Myers led women's soccer's defensive effort that held both opponents scoreless this past weekend, including NWC Champions Pacific Lutheran. She played all 180 minutes this weekend and helped the Pioneers limit their two opponents to just eight combined shots on goal. 

In the game against PLU, Myers booted a 44-yard free kick in the 81st minute that bounced off the right side of the crossbar and back into the field of play. Her shot led to the Pios getting a second scoring chance on a corner kick. It was just the third time all season the Lutes had been shutout and the third time this fall the NWC Champions failed to win a conference contest. 

Myers started all 19 games for the Pios this season. Her defensive play helped Lewis & Clark to seven shutouts and a program record eight ties.
