Box Score SEATTLE, Wash. - Junior guard Kristina Williams was named the Northwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week after a solid weekend that saw her help the Lewis & Clark women's basketball team take down two conference opponents on the road.
The honor is the first Williams during the 2011-12 season. The reigning NWC Player of the Year, knocked down a career-high 26 points in the Pioneers 64-54 victory over Whitman on Dec. 3. Her 26 points followed her strong performance the night before against Whitworth. Against the Pirates, Williams put together a stellar second half of action finishing with 18 points and eight rebounds to help the Pios earn a 69-56 win.
The Pioneers, who are ranked 15th in the nation according to D3hoops.com, return to the court on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. when they host Warner Pacific.
