PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's basketball team returned to the Pamplin Sports Center on Tuesday night where the Pioneers earned a 74-52 win over Warner Pacific. Senior Tayler Wang ended the night with a game-high 17 points, while classmate Katie Anderson scored 15 in the win.

Wang's 17 points marks the second game in a row that the Pio guard has been the teams leading scorer, while also marking the third straight game she has scored in double figures. Anderson has yet to not score in double figures, hitting the mark in all five of the teams games this season. She is currently averaging 21.6 points a game.

Ayisat Afolabi was the Pioneers workhourse on the defensive side of the ball, leading all players in rebounds (7), steals (3) and blocks (1). Sarah Anderson also collected a block in the game to go with her nine points.

Courtney Walchli led the Knights with 13 points on the night, while teammate Jacki Cannon came off the bench to score 10.

The Pioneer bench played a significant role in the win scoring 35 of the teams 74 points. Lewis & Clark knocked down 21 second chance points, while scoring 27 of their points off Warner Pacific turnovers.

Lewis & Clark came out strong in the first half, racking up a 10-0 lead in the first five minutes of action. It wasn't until the 15:19 mark that Warner Pacific finally got on the board with back-to-back free throws.

After earning the opening lead, the Pioneers never let down, eventually taking a 35-22 lead into the locker room at the half.

Warner Pacific tried to start fast in the second half, but would never be able to overcome the Pioneers. Sophomore Kaitlin Mathewson earned Lewis & Clark its largest lead of the game with 6:42 remaining with a shot from downtown, making it a 62-34 contest. Lewis & Clark maintained control of the game the rest of the way en route to the 74-52 victory.

The Pioneers return to the court on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. when they host Concordia (Ore.).
