FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers finished their series with the Puget Sound Loggers, a 4-2 loss on Tuesday, after a month of rescheduled games.

Stephanie Garcia brought in a run and scored one herself to get the Pioneers on the board after Lewis & Clark allowed two new runs when the game resumed in the bottom of the second inning with the Loggers already leading 2-0.

The contest was originally scheduled to be played on Mar. 11 and was rescheduled three times.

Savannah Dickson (2-6) took the loss after beginning the resumed game in the circle and allowing a two-RBI double to Jessica Gott that increased the Loggers lead to 4-0. Kalin Rooney replaced Dickson and pitched 4 1/3 innings without allowing a hit. She struck out four.

Puget Sound's Erica Gott (6-8) picked up the win with four strikeouts, and Jessica Gott finished 2 for 3 with the two RBI. The Loggers (12-23; 5-19 NWC) are in last place in the Northwest Conference standings.

Lewis & Clark (9-21; 9-17 NWC) scored in the third on Garcia's RBI single, but went down in order the next two innings. In the sixth, Lisa Kumasaka led off with a single and Garcia earned a hit with a bunt in front of the plate. After successful steals by both, Lindsay Yearman and Emily Drevdahl grounded out, with Kumasaka scoring on the latter. Jenai Rojo also grounded out, which ended the inning.

In the seventh, the Pios got a one-out hit from Katelyn Duilio, who stole second before she was stranded.

The loss ends Lewis & Clark's five-game winning streak. The Pioneers conclude the season with a pair against George Fox on Saturday.
