Box Score SALEM, Ore. -- Hannah Martin's layup with no time remaining in regulation forced overtime, but the Lewis & Clark Pioneers were defeated 77-69 by the Willamette Bearcats on Saturday night at Cone Field House.
Delsie Johnson had nine first-quarter points and a game-high 24 to lead the Pioneers, who held the lead for over 13 minutes in the first half. Willamette crawled back through nine lead changes and 14 ties.
The Pioneers were outscored 26-16 off turnovers despite committing their fewest in the last five games.

Johnson scored seven of the Pios' first 12 points including a three at the start of the game. Lewis & Clark built a five-point lead before Willamette went ahead for the first time with just over four minutes remaining in the first half. Amanda Carpenter started 4 for 4 from the 3-point line on her way to a team-high 21 points for Willamette (6-3, 1-0 NWC). Her performance helped the Bearcats overcome a 1 for 8 shooting performance to close out the first quarter.
After the Bearcats took the lead, the Pioneers went on a 7-0 run to lead by five a few minutes before the half. Lewis & Clark shot 64 percent in the second quarter.
The game was tied at halftime. In the third quarter, Carpenter hit a three midway through the period to give Willamette its biggest lead of the game, 39-36, but the Pioneers (1-5, 0-1 NWC) worked their way back to lead before the game entered the fourth tied.
Down five with 40 seconds remaining, the Pioneers used a 3-pointers from Laurel Marchant and Peyton Romo to get within one. After a Willamette free throw, Martin scored the game-tying layup as time expired. She finished with 18 points.
The Bearcats outscored Lewis & Clark 11-3 in overtime as the Pioneers went 1 for 6 from the floor.
