Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers (2-2-1) took on the George Fox Bruins (3-2) at Austin Sports Complex Wednesday evening for their first conference game of the season. The Pioneers faced a tough 4-0 loss to the Bruins, managing just two shots in the game.
Starting goalie Sophia Young managed six saves for the Pioneers, while closing goalie Abby Prager added one to bring her season total up to 20. Brecklyn Beighle took the Pioneers' lone shot on goal, while freshman Elsa Horsted added a shot to bring her season total to three.

The Bruins offense was aggressive from the start of the game, but the Pioneers' defense held out until the 29th minute, when Willa Evans found the back of the net off a double assist from Taylor Ho, who put the ball into scoring position from Amy Hatter's corner kick. The Bruins then brought the score to 2-0 in the 41st minute, going into the break with a 15-0 shot advantage.
The Bruins continued their strong attacking heading into the second half, scoring early while limiting the Pioneers' opportunities. Beighle finally managed to get a shot on goal in the 55th minute, which was scooped up by Bruins goalie Bella Salazar.
