SALEM, Ore. -- Following a postponement 11 days earlier, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers lost 61-29 to the Willamette Bearcats in a make-up contest on Tuesday.

Delsie Johnson scored nine points to lead the Pioneers. Willamette led 34-18 at the end of the first half. 

Lewis & Clark shot a season-low 21 percent from the floor and matched its season worst with two 3-pointers made.

Key Moments

A 9-0 run at the end of the first quarter helped the Bearcats secure a 14-7 lead entering the second. Karli Mukai had all five of her points in the opening quarter and made two of the Pios' three successful field goals in the period.

Lewis & Clark's best shooting stretch came in the second quarter, 31 percent. Willamette (9-7, 4-3 NWC) put in half of its shots, though, to extend the lead to 16 at halftime. Johnson scored five of her nine total points in the second.

The Pioneers hit only one field goal in the final quarter off a steal by Laurel Marchant with 27 second left. 

Willamette's Amanda Carpenter and Ava Kitchin led the Bearcats with 11 points apiece.
