KEY MOMENTS

After a scoreless first 2.5 innings, the Bulldogs struck for runs in each of their final four at-bats, to snap Lewis & Clark's six-game, non-conference winning streak.

Thomson led the Pioneers offensively by reaching in all four of his trips to the plate. He singled, homered and added two walks. His solo home run moved him into a three-way tie for second-place in program history for career home runs with 26.

California natives Justin Cavagnaro and Will Heron each added two hits and a run scored.

On the mound, Cristian Panaro and Kane each worked an inning of relief. Panaro allowed three hits and four runs (two earned) over an inning plus. Kane came on with the bases loaded and no outs and retired both of the batters he faced, while allowing only one inherited runner to scor.e

After a solid first two innings on the mound for Casey Parsons, Redlands struck for five runs in the third inning and tacked on four more in the fourth.

The Pioneers scratched across two runs in the sixth to break up the shutout bid. Cavagnaro and Heron led off with singles and Dylan Moore walked to load the bases. All three runners moved up 90 feet on a passed ball to cut the deficit to 10-1. Brennen Davis drove in a second run, when his RBI groundout plated Heron.

In the top of the seventh, Thomson led off with his 14th home run of the season.
