PORTLAND, Ore. –Lewis & Clark College women's basketball first-year
Kaitlen Carns sent the game into overtime with two free throws with 0.6 left in regulation, but Warner Pacific University scored the first four points of the extra period to escape Pamplin Sports Center with a 77-73 win on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lauryn Frederickson led all players with a career-high 29 points on 11-of-20 shooting, including 5-of-6 from three-point range. The sophomore pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds for her fourth career double-double.
Junior
Madelyn Sanchez added a career-high 18 points and two blocks, while fellow junior
Tatiana Rebanal distributed a career-high five assists.
Carns contributed five points and a career-high five rebounds and four assists.
The competitive game featured 14 ties and 12 lead changes, with neither team leading by more than six points. Lewis & Clark trailed 20-17 after Warner Pacific's Alexa Mee hit a three-pointer with six seconds left.
The Pioneers took a 37-36 halftime lead after strong second-quarter shooting from Frederickson and Sanchez, capped by Frederickson's layup with 45 seconds remaining.
Warner Pacific regained the lead after three 52-50, but Lewis & Clark fought back behind Frederickson's 10 fourth-quarter points. With 18 seconds remaining in regulation, Frederickson drilled a game-tying three-pointer to even the score at 66-66.
The Knight's Skylar Groesbeck hit a layup with two seconds left. After the Pioneers called a timeout to advance the ball, Carns drove to the basket, drew a foul with less than a second on the clock and calmly sank two free throws to force overtime at 68-68.
In the extra period, Warner Pacific's Amalya Sales and McKeeley Tonkin hit crucial three-pointers to help the Knights pull away. Sales matched Frederickson with 29 points, while Mee added 13 points and 11 rebounds for Warner Pacific.
Sophomore
DJ Kendrick grabbed six rebounds and dished out two assists, while first-year
Isabella Bernard added a career-high seven points with six rebounds.
Divinity Singleton provided a spark off the bench with eight points, three blocks, and three assists for Lewis & Clark, all career-highs for the sophomore.
