Swegle Earns First Career NWC Weekly Honor

The junior was named NWC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Lewis & Clark College junior Sage Swegle earned her first career Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week honor, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
 
Swegle recorded eight caused turnovers and seven ground balls across two River Otters victories. She also contributed on offense, finishing the week with five goals and one assist.
 
In Wednesday's 14-4 home win against Pacific, Swegle collected four ground balls and caused three turnovers. She scored three goals and added an assist in the contest.
 
Swegle followed with a career-high five caused turnovers and three ground balls in Saturday's 15-2 road win at Puget Sound. She scored twice against the Loggers.
 
Lewis & Clark returns to action Wednesday, March 4, at 6 p.m. against Linfield in McMinnville.
