Lewis & Clark College

Fraser Morrison Head Shot 2025

Fraser Morrison

Fraser Morrison was named the second head men's soccer coach, since the program returned to the varsity level in 2022, in July of 2025. He spent the previous three seasons as the lead assistant coach for the program. The 2026 season will mark his second full year as head coach.

Morrison led Lewis & Clark to a program record three ties during his first season as head coach. Men's Soccer continued to show improvement as they set a new program record goals against average (2.60) and held opponents to two goals or fewer 11 times. The team notched ties against Northwest (WA) (2-2), Linfield University (4-4) and the University of Puget Sound (0-0). The shutout of the Loggers marked the team's second-ever shutout and junior goalie Micaiah Garan became the first player in program history to earn a weekly Northwest Conference Award for his performance against the Loggers. At the end of the season, Lewis & Clark celebrated their first four-year senior class of nine players on Senior Day.

Morrison has worked with the program ever since it returned to the varsity level in 2022. He has taken on a larger role over the past three years and served as the team's lead assistant in 2024. He was in charge of leading training sessions and developing gameplans and lineups for the men's soccer team this past season.

Morrison played league representative soccer in his hometown of London, during his youth club soccer career, and attended the University of Luton where he helped its intercollegiate soccer team reach the quarterfinals of the British Universities Challenge Cup.

Fraser began his coaching career in England, coaching for Princes Park Youth Football Club, prior to accepting a position at Goal Line Soccer Clinics, where he ultimately became Director of Camps in Oregon and Washington. In 1999, Morrison returned to England where he completed his degree while coaching for two professional soccer clubs, West Ham United Football Club and Barnet Football Club. At West Ham he was their Football-in-the-Community Coach. At Barnet he coached their Girls 87 Center of Excellence team, and assisted with their Women's FA Premier League team.

After returning to the US, Morrison became the Director of Youth Development at the Oregon United Soccer Academy in Eugene, where he coached multiple teams to Oregon State Championships. In 2005, Fraser became the Director of Coaching at Lake Oswego Soccer Club, where he oversees the operation of the entire club. Fraser is a co-founder of the Crossfire Oregon Soccer Club where he also serves as the Director of Coaching. Fraser has also served as a United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) Region IV Staff Coach, and has also been an Oregon Olympic Development (ODP) Staff Coach for several years.

In the Fall of 2006, Fraser became the Lake Oswego High School boys soccer team head coach, where his mantra of "quality & quickness" has been his consistent message to all of the players on all of the teams. He was selected Three Rivers League Coach of the Year in 2007 and 2009. He is a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National "A" licensed coach, and he also has a USSF Youth license and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
