Seth Orensky joined the Lewis & Clark staff in spring 2022 after nearly 10 years as the Sports Information assistant at Division III UMass Boston.

Orensky joined Lewis & Clark in 2022 as the Director of Athletic Communications. He will now serve as the Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Communications. Orensky leads a two-person team to publicize Lewis & Clark Athletics 21 varsity teams. The Athletic Communications team is charged with maintaining the department's website, recordkeeping and managing the streaming video platform, assisting in all athletics marketing initiatives, and in building the Lewis & Clark brand through the use of social media. Lewis & Clark's Athletic Communications department earned the Jack Sareault Award for the 2024-25 school year – the award is given to the top athletic communications department in the Northwest Conference as voted by their peers. In the summer of 2026, Orensky was awarded the Lewis & Clark President’s Excellence Award.

He has served on a number of committees connected to the new River Otter mascot over the past three years. He first served on the Mascot Nomination and Selection Committee as one of the six leaders of the group that helped whittle down over 400 nominations to help pick the finalists for the new mascot. He has also worked on a small L&C team that partnered with Wieden + Kennedy to help create the school's new logo, branding, mascot suit and mascot backstory. Since the selection of the new mascot, he has represented Athletics on the Mascot Implementation Committee. The committee has led the efforts to roll out the River Otter on campus, helped plan and execute the first-ever River Otter Week and work to come up with strategic ways to weave the mascot into the campus community.

Prior to joining Lewis & Clark, Orensky served as the media contact for six Division III teams and was in charge of all social media and video work for the UMass Boston Athletics department. Orensky created the Beacons Broadcast Network, which webcasts 110 athletic events a year with video, play-by-play and graphics on all UMass Boston contests. He served as one of the play-by-play broadcasters for the department and was in charge of hiring outside broadcasters, including two Jim Nantz award winners and 2022 Division III Hockey Broadcaster of the Year Award winner Matt Meisenbacher.

During his time at UMass Boston, Orensky served as the media contact for several NCAA and conference tournaments including the 2019 NCAA Division III men’s hockey tournament, the 2019 NCAA Division III Baseball Regional Tournament and the 2019 Little East Conference Baseball Tournament. He was also the primary social media contact for the 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet.

Outside of UMass Boston, he worked as a freelance play-by-play broadcaster and sideline reporter in the Boston area. Orensky served as one of the main play-by-play voices of MIT Athletics and contributed to Boston Neighborhood Network’s (BNN) coverage of Boston City League basketball and football games.

Prior to starting at UMass Boston, Orensky graduated from Boston University in 2011 with a dual degree in Broadcast Journalism and History. He worked as a broadcast intern with the Worcester Tornadoes of the Can-Am League in the summer of 2012. Orensky is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
