Junior Wade McDermott went undefeated in both singles and doubles play last weekend, winning 18 of the 20 games he played against Whitworth before battling Northwest Conference leader Whitman. McDermott dominated at third singles against Whitworth's Weir, winning 6-0, 6-1, after teaming with junior Kai Wills for a commanding 6-1 doubles victory at the top spot. Against Whitman, McDermott secured a hard-fought three-set singles win (6-1, 4-6, 6-3) and paired with Wills for a crucial 6-4 doubles victory, becoming the first Pioneer to reach 20 total wins this season with 21.
