Softball senior Charlize Pope threw 8.0 innings of scoreless relief Friday. Pope entered both games against Emory and Pfeiffer with runners on base, stranded them each time, and held the opponents to a combined four hits, three walks and two strikeouts to earn her first win of the season. The victory moved Pope into a tie for second in program history with 28 career wins, matching Jauna Williams (2003) and Alyssa Abe (2023). Her two strikeouts increased her career total to 194, which ranks fifth in Lewis & Clark history.
