Thomson closed out his Pioneer career with a strong showing at the NCAA Regional in Birmingham, Alabama. The fifth-year senior reached base 11 times in three games and delivered a team-leading three home runs and seven runs scored in Lewis & Clark’s first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. He finished the weekend hitting .500 (5-10) with three walks, three hit by pitches and five RBI. On Friday morning, Thomson recorded a team-leading three hits, including a solo home run and three-run homer, to lead the Pioneers past #7/5 Birmingham-Southern College 7-1 in the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament contest. He reached base at least three times in all three contests.
