Box Score WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark volleyball team hit the road for a Northwest Conference match against Whitman, where the Missionaries edged out the Pioneers 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-22).
Lewis & Clark now sits at 8-8 on the season and 2-5 in conference play, while Whitman moves to 7-9 overall and 3-4 in the NWC.
Brigitte Russo led the offense with 11 kills, while Kataleya Milan knocked down nine and Isabel Valetnine concluded the night with eight. Vanessa Hall had a team-high 19 assists, while junior Emily Drake picked up 14. As a group the Pioneers were busy defensively with Alexe Navarro finishing with just 11 digs, while Russo had eight, Milan seven and Erinn Winstead six. Milan and Tessa Belanger finished with the teams only blocks with three each.
Shae Kanakaole ended the night with a match-high 14 kills for the Missionaires, while Anna Dawson finished her night with 32 assists.
The Pioneers return to the court on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. against Whitworth.
