Danny Sutton joined the Lewis & Clark coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season. He will work with the team's kickers.
Sutton is originally from the Philadelphia area and played at NCAA D1 University of Maryland from 2015-2017. Sutton appeared in 22 games over his final two seasons and served as the team's kickoff kicker. He posted 12 touchbacks across 94 kickoffs. Sutton was named to the All-Big Ten Academic Team in 2016 and 2017.
Sutton then completed his fifth year of eligibility while earning a Master's degree in Sports Administration from the University of New Mexico. He enjoyed a breakout season with the Lobos as he posted touchbacks on 35 of his 50 kicks to help New Mexico finish as one of the top teams in the country in kickoff coverage.
Following graduate school, Danny spent four years with Under Armour in Baltimore, Maryland, where he also began training local kickers and punters. In 2024, he relocated to Portland, Oregon, to join Nike and has continued his passion for specialist development by coaching and mentoring kickers and punters throughout the Pacific Northwest.
