Elsie Chin ('26) returns to her alm mater in the Fall of 2026 as an assistant track & field coach.
Chin enjoyed a standout career as a member of the Lewis & Clark track & field program. She graduated in 2026 as a seven-time All-Conference honoree and three-time All-Region award winner. As a senior, she set the program record and placed third in the 400M Hurdles (First Team All-Conference) and finished fourth in the 400M (Second Team) at the Northwest Conference Championship Meet. Chin capped off the meet by helping the 4x400M Relay Team break the program record in the event for a third-straight year - to finish third overall (Second Team). She was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Team in the 400M Hurdles and 4x400M Relay for Outdoor Track and the Distance Medley Relay for Indoor Track as a senior.
Chin wrapped up her career ranked in the top-20 in program history in the: Outdoor 400M Hurdles (1st), Indoor 600M (1st), Indoor 400M (3rd), Outdoor 400M (6th), Indoor 200M (8th), Indoor 60M Hurdles (9th) Outdoor 200M (12th), Indoor 60M (16th) and Outdoor 800M (19th). She earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team in her final three seasons and was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete as a senior. She finished her career as a three-time All-Conference honoree in both the 400M Hurdles and 4x400M Relay.
