Patrick Beasley joins the Lewis & Clark College swimming coach staff in the Fall of 2026.
Beasley is no stranger to Palatine Hill after spending the past five years serving as the Associate Head Coach of the Lake Oswego Swim Club. Beasley primarily works with students aged 9-18 and is responsible for creating and implementing training programs for swimmers from the Developmental level all the way up to the clubs’ swimmers who compete on a Sectional and National Level. He was named the Oregon Swimming (OSI) Age Group Co-Coach of the Year for the 2022-23 and 23-24 seasons. Beasley started his career with Lake Oswego Swim Club as a head age group coach and senior assistant from 2012-18.
In between his two stints at Lake Oswego Swim Club, Beasley returned to Tennessee to work with his alma mater and two other club teams. He served as a volunteer assistant coach with the University of Tennessee from August 2019-21. In his first season, he was a member of the coaching staff that led the women’s team to their first-ever Southeastern Conference Championship. Beasley primarily worked with the women’s distance swimmers and coached Kristen Stage - who became only the second Vol in program history to win the 1,650 women’s free at the 2021 SEC Championship Meet. During his time in Knoxville, he also had the chance to work with local professional swimmers who were training for the 2021 Olympics.
The Tennessee native swam for four years at the University of Tennessee. He competed at the SEC Championship Meet in his final two seasons and posted personal best times in the 200 Fly, 200 IM and 400 IM in his final collegiate meet.
