Susanna Anand joined the Lewis & Clark women’s tennis program as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Anand joins the coaching ranks after a four-year playing career at Lewis & Clark, where she competed at the top of the singles and doubles lineups and earned All-Northwest Conference honors in each season. She finished her career with 52 singles victories.
As a senior in 2025-26, Anand earned All-NWC First Team honors in singles and doubles. She posted a 17-4 singles record, including a 13-3 mark at the No. 1 position, and led the team with 17 singles victories. Anand reached No. 15 in the West Region rankings and advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Northwest Regional Championships A bracket in singles and doubles. The Northwest Conference named her Student-Athlete of the Week on Feb. 9 after she went 2-0 against George Fox and helped the River Otters snap a nine-match losing streak to the Bruins. She also earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and NWC Scholar-Athlete honors.
Anand was named the NWC Rookie of the Year and earned All-NWC Second Team honors as a first-year in 2022-23. She followed with All-NWC First Team selections in each of her final three seasons. As a sophomore in 2023-24, she posted a 16-6 singles record. During her junior season in 2024-25, she finished as the singles runner-up at the 2024 ITA Northwest Regional Championships. Anand also earned multiple ITA Scholar-Athlete, CSC Academic All-District and NWC Scholar-Athlete honors during her career.
A native of Troutdale, Ore., Anand graduated from Corbett High School, where she won a district championship as a freshman and finished fourth at the state championships as a junior.
