HOW IT HAPPENED

Sophomore Anna Ingadottir started her first NWC and second game of the season in net for the Pioneers, earning a season-high five saves against 13 shots faced by the Bruins.

While George Fox fired off the game's first two shots, Lewis & Clark freshman Grace Smith booted a kick from the top of the box at 16:29 to the center of the net that Bruin keeper Emily Robey prevented from crossing the line. Less than three minutes later, George Fox's Alison Weber found Taylor Ho in the middle of the box for the game's lone goal. Lewis & Clark's Sasha Raimondo attempted to tie the game with a shot from the left of the goal at 27:55, but Robey grabbed the ball at the near post.

After surrendering the early goal, Ingadottir saved five straight shots, including three in the second half. The first was 1:11 after the break on an attempt by the Bruins' Isabella Hector, and the final was in the final six minutes as Ho attempted to add another goal to her total.

The Pioneers had eight total shots in the game, four in each half. Senior Celeste Schreifels attempted to tie the game at 77:11 with a kick from the left side of the box, but Robey found her way in front of the shot. Lewis & Clark defenders blocked five of George Fox's eight second-half shots to keep the game within striking distance.

Sophomore Kate Meinhard had back-to-back shots blocked in the early second half and was the only other Pioneer with multiple shots on the night.
