HOW IT HAPPENED

Lewis & Clark used a 16-0 run to take control of the game late in the first quarter and never looked back, to snap a three-game losing streak.

Palosi knocked down a career-high seven 3-pointers en-route to a career-best 23 points. She went 7-17 from distance and finished one made three-pointer shy of tying the program record for a single-game. She tacked on two assists, one rebound and one steal in 32 minutes of action.

Carns posted the first double-double of her collegiate career. The first year recorded 13 points and a career-high 10 rebounds in her third collegiate start. Carns went 4-8 from the field, hit all four of her free throws and chipped in two steals and two rebounds.

Frederickson added 14 points and a game-high 14 rebounds in her sixth double-double of the season. The sophomore went 6-12 from the field and notched four assists.

Sophomores Divinity Singleton (14) and Isabella Bernard (12) also finished in double-figures. Singleton just missed out on her first career double-double. She posted career-highs of 14 points and nine rebounds and tacked on four assists. Bernard added a career-high 12 points on 4-8 shooting and knocked down a pair of threes.

The Pioneers jumped out to a 7-0 lead just 3:03 into the game but the Eagles quickly clawed their way back. Northwest Indian used an 8-2 run to cut the deficit to 9-8 with 4:23 to go in the first quarter.

After seven consecutive scoreless possessions between the two teams, Palosi hit her first three of the night to ignite the 16-0 run. Palosi (six), Karns (four), Frederickson (four) and Singleton (two) all scored during the spree. Over the course of 3:08, the Pioneers pushed their lead from 9-8 with 2:52 left in the first, to 25-8 just 14 seconds into the second quarter.

Lewis & Clark would continue to extend their advantage throughout the second stanza and took their largest lead of half on a Frederickson layup (48-20) with 24 seconds left in the half.

The hosts outscored Northwest Indian 25-13 in the third quarter to push their lead to 38 and led by as many as 47 points in the fourth quarter.
