PORTLAND, Ore. — Lewis & Clark College women's basketball junior
Lauryn Frederickson earned All-Northwest Conference Third Team honors, the league office announced Friday. The selection marks Frederickson's second consecutive all-conference recognition after she earned All-NWC Second Team honors last season.
Despite a season-ending injury midway through conference play, Frederickson co-led Lewis & Clark with 13.0 points per game and led the team with 8.5 rebounds per game in 17 appearances, all starts. She shot 36.0 percent from the field, 25.0 percent from 3-point range and 92.7 percent from the free-throw line while averaging 28.6 minutes per game. Frederickson added 19 assists, 21 steals and six blocks.
In eight conference games, Frederickson averaged 16.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from 3-point range. She made 24 of 26 free throws (92.3 percent) in NWC play. She scored in double figures 12 times and recorded three double-doubles.
Frederickson led the NWC in rebounding and free-throw percentage this season and was tied for fifth in scoring.
Her season-high 26 points came at Pacific on Jan. 10, when she shot 10 for 22 from the field with four 3-pointers. She scored 21 points and grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds at Pacific Lutheran on Jan. 3 in a 72-62 overtime win. Against Whitman on Jan. 16, she posted 10 points and 13 rebounds in a 68-59 victory. Frederickson scored 19 points on 7-of-18 shooting against Corban on Nov. 25 and added 18 points with nine rebounds against Whitworth on Jan. 17.
In her Lewis & Clark career, Frederickson has totaled 764 points (11.6 per game) and 564 rebounds (8.5 per game) with 82 steals and 41 blocks in 66 games.
