The River Otters, who are the defending champions at the GFU Invitational, are in a tight group at the top of the leaderboard. The "A" team led late in to the afternoon, but find themselves trailing Whitworth University (+11) by five strokes. Host George Fox University (+13) and Linfield University (+15), also hold slight advantages over Lewis & Clark.Ā

Charlie Hageman led all 11 Lewis & Clark players on Monday. He shot an even-par 71 to finish in second place out of 71 golfers. Hageman will start Day Two five strokes back of Whitworth's Matthew Durkin who carded a 66 (-5) on Monday.Ā

Junior
Luke Blankinship joined his "A Team" teammate towards the top of the leaderboard. Blankinship turned in a 72 (+1), to finish in a tie for third in the field.Ā

Trae Fredrickson and
Nate Loew led the "B Team" and are both in the top-10 after 18 holes. The first-year duo each notched rounds of 73 (+2) to finish in a tie for sixth place on Monday.Ā
