PORTLAND, Ore.— Director of Tennis and head men's and women's tennis coach
Jimmy Chau announced his ninth recruiting class at Lewis & Clark College, with seven first-year players joining the River Otters this fall.
"We're welcoming a group of men and women from all over the world and right from our own backyard at the same time," Chau said. "The student-athletes bring a wealth of varied experiences, and many already have deep connections to L&C and our tennis program. This set of first-years, in particular, will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on our program in many ways. I'm excited to see who steps up and takes on those challenges!"

Quinn Douangpanya—Albuquerque, N.M.
Attended Albuquerque Academy … played tennis all four years … team captain as a senior … helped his team win the State Championship three years in a row.
Cloe Alcorn—Indio, Calif.
Attended Palm Desert High School … played varsity tennis all four years … helped the team be undefeated league champions for four straight seasons … Desert Empire League (DEL) runner-up in single play … earned the Scholar-Athlete award.
Annie Burrows—Lusaka, Zambia
Attended the American International School of Lusaka … played tennis for five years of school … won a local sportsmanship award … named MVP.
Sonya Drayton—West Linn, Ore.
Attended West Linn High School … played varsity tennis all four years … served as team captain as a senior … won district titles as a sophomore and senior … placed third at the state tournament as a senior … helped team finish second at state as a junior … earned First Team All-League honors all four years … helped the Pacific Northwest win the 2025 Pacific Cup … earned the Oregon Seal of Multiliteracy.
