SALEM, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College women's golf first year Payton Richardson posted a career-best tied for 20^th finish, to lead the River Otters at the Bearcats Invitational. 
 
Richardson and junior Lauren Raitanen represented Lewis & Clark at the two-day tournament hosted at the Salem Golf Club. 
 
Richardson led the team on both days in her second collegiate tournament. The first year turned in an 84 (+12) on Saturday. She carded an 86 (+14) on Sunday. Richardson finished tied for 20^th overall with a two-day score of 170 (+26). Richardson notched a birdie in both rounds and was in line for an 80 (+8) on Saturday before posting a nine on the Par 5 18^th hole to close out her first round. She finished the tournament with 16 pars and two birdies across her 36 holes. 
 
Raitanen placed 36^th out of 41 golfers across the two-day tournament as she continues to make strides in her game. She posted a 104 (+32) on Saturday and recorded pars on the Par 5 1^st and Par 3 6^th holes. She finished the round with two pars and seven bogeys. On Sunday, she recorded a 114 (+42). After a tough start to the day, Raitanen posted three bogeys to close out the front nine. Raitanen wrapped up the weekend with a score of 218 (+72). Her score of 104 (+32) on Saturday marked the second-best round of her collegiate career.
