CORVALLIS, Ore.—Four Lewis & Clark College throwers competed in the hammer throw at the PNW Invite on Friday afternoon at NCAA DI Oregon State University.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Three River Otters posted top-15 marks in program history and all four throwers notched their best marks of the 2026 season.
Junior
Lillian Besa led the trio of women's throwers. Besa launched the hammer 43.00M (141-01.00 Feet) to finish 10
th out of 30 throwers. Her mark was a PR by almost five meters and moved her into seventh in program history.
Fellow junior
Divinity Singleton took 21
st in the event. She posted a season-best heave of 36.25M (118-11 Feet). Her throw was a season-best mark and just shy of her career-best throw in the event (36.88M).
First year
Ky Roussin registered the 15
th-best throw in program history. The first year launched the implement 34.09M (111-10.00 Feet) to finish in 25
th place. Roussin's throw was a PR by over five feet.
Senior
Andrew Baum represented the men's team on Friday. Baum posted a PR throw on his third and final effort to finish 11
th out of 32 throwers. He tossed the hammer 45.73M (150-00.00 Feet) to improve upon his PR mark in the event (45.66M). Baum ranks 12
th all-time in program history in the event.
