HILLSBORO, Ore.—For the first time in his collegiate career, Lewis & Clark College baseball sophomore Matt Stanislavsky earned Northwest Conference Pitcher of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
Stanislavsky is the fourth Lewis & Clark to earn NWC weekly accolades and the second pitcher. He joins fellow sophomore pitcher Sam Burchi and outfielders Bret Potter and Will Michelman as players to have been recognized by the conference. 
 
Stanislavsky put together a pair of strong outings to help Lewis & Clark sweep a four-game, home series against Willamette over the weekend. 

The sophomore went 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA in six innings of work. He struck out nine batters and limited the Bearcats to four hits, two walks, one run and a .182 batting average. 
 
In his first outing of the weekend, he threw two innings of work and scattered three hits and one run, while striking out three, in a 10-9 comeback win in game two. On Sunday, Stanislavsky tied his career-high with four innings pitched and allowed just two walks and one hit. He struck out six batters during his scoreless appearance to help Lewis & Clark earn a comeback 5-4 game three win. 
 
Stanislavsky leads Lewis & Clark with 56 strikeouts in 37 innings pitched. The sophomore owns a 3-0 record with a 3.41 ERA in 16 appearances. He has posted multiple strikeouts in 15 of his 16 appearances and three or more in his last 10 outings. The sophomore sits sixth in all of NCAA DIII with a 13.62 K/9 ratio. 
 
Baseball will close out the NWC regular season this weekend, when they travel to take on Linfield University on Saturday and Sunday. The two teams are tied for second in the NWC Standings with a 13-8 record and both teams have punched their ticket to the 2026 NWC Tournament.
