EUGENE, Ore.—Six Lewis & Clark College track & field student-athletes competed at the Oregon Twilight Meet on Friday at Hayward Field.Â

Lewis & Clark posted five top-10 finishes in one of the final meets of most of the River Otters' careers. Five seniors and one first year made the trip to the University of the Oregon to compete at the one of the most historic venues in the sport.Â

Senior
Jon Fritz earned a second-place finish in the triple jump. Fritz leapt 13.76M (45-01.75 Feet) to finish first among NCAA athletes and second out of six competitors. The senior's mark was the third-best of his collegiate career.Â

First year
Cody Strozyk placed fourth of 10 throwers in the javelin. The first year notched the second-best throw of his career when he launched the javelin 58.61M (192-03.00 Feet). It marked the second time in his career that he's cleared 190 feet in the event.Â

Senior
Andrew Baum represented Lewis & Clark in the shot put and the discus. Baum placed fifth out of 12 throwers in the shot put. He notched the second-best mark of his collegiate career with a throw of 14.81M (48-07.25 Feet). The senior came back later in the day to finish ninth out of 12 in the discus. Baum launched the discus 42.51M (139-05.00 Feet) to come in ninth place. He finished the event with the fourth-best mark of his collegiate career.Â

Rose Dinh finished seventh out of 12 competitors in the long jump. Dinh launched herself 5.34M (17-06.25 Feet) to earn a spot in the Finals. Her jump marked the third-best mark of her career.Â

Malia Heien and
Miriam Reside represented Lewis & Clark in the 800M. Heien came in 13
th place with a time of 2:14.81. Reside was just behind her in 15
th place. She crossed the line with a final time of 2:24.77.Â

A group of underclassmen will compete at the Portland Twilight Meet on Saturday afternoon at Griswold Stadium.Â
