Nicholas State broke two program records and tacked on three career-best records this past weekend at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Meet. On Friday, Stade posted PRs in three of the first four events of the heptathlon. He ran the 60m dash in 7.36 seconds, jumped 6.08m (19-11.50 feet) in the long jump, and threw the shot put 8.34m (27-04.50 feet), all career-bests. In the fourth event of the day, he just missed a PR in the high jump when he cleared 1.79m (5-10.50 feet). On Saturday, Stade broke two of his own program records. He broke his record in the 1000m by over two seconds to finish in 2:49.31. Stade also broke his record in the heptathlon by 13 points, scoring 4,480. He is now up to 49th in Division III in the heptathlon. Stade now ranks fourth in program history in the long jump, seventh in the shot put, and is tied for 11th in the 60m dash.
